This is so far the most commonly requested feature. I'm working through
a backlog of requests and patches right now. Later this week or perhaps
early next week I hope to post a road map of the order in which I plan

For now a workaround is to start multiple instances. One of the changes
submitted to svn today is a switch to jack_client_open() which allows
for multiple instances with unique client names. Another change
committed today allows client name to be specified on the commandline.
