[specimen] using --name breaks open from command line

Attached is a patch that fixes the problem I mentioned (loading from 
commandline + supplying --name didn't work). I also made it so that the 
supplied clientname (if present) is used for midi client name. I always 
found that racing conditions make use of autogenerated clientnames (like 
it was before) a real nightmare to work with, hence the urge to be able 
to specify one.

The patch applies against 0.5.3-rc3.
