I'm still here. I actually committed a patch to svn last week. :)

I'll try to look at this sometime soon. Thank you for your interest and
efforts.

I hate to make excuses for what I haven't done, but in short, I've been
pretty ill for a long time and only in the past 6 months or so gotten my
life back on track. specimen, unfortunately, was not at the top of the
queue of things needing attention. I do care about and feel responsible
for cleaning up the queue of outstanding patches and getting a release
out ... Can't yet promise a timeline.
